Sh8 billion Nairobi traffic surveillance system project kicks off
The Kenyan government has initiated the construction of a Sh7.9 billion Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in Nairobi to alleviate traffic congestion. Implemented by Samsung Construction and Trading Corporation for the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura), the project includes building a Traffic Management Centre at City Cabanas, where specialists will monitor real-time traffic data. The first phase, starting in April, will upgrade 25 key junctions by replacing roundabouts with data-driven traffic lights to ensure smoother traffic flow.

The bank notified customers of the issue and is working to resolve it, promising updates once services are restored.
