Roam and 4G Capital Partner to Finance Electric Boda Bodas in Kenya
Roam, a Kenyan electric mobility company, has partnered with digital credit provider 4G Capital to offer affordable financing for electric motorcycles to boda boda riders. Through this collaboration, riders can acquire a Roam Air electric motorcycle with a single battery by making a KES 25,000 deposit and daily payments of KES 460 over 24 months, resulting in operational cost savings of approximately KES 500 compared to traditional internal combustion engine motorcycles. This initiative aims to empower young people in the boda boda industry by providing sustainable and cost-effective transportation solutions.

Binance urges Kenyan youth to join academy for crypto knowledge
Binance's Global Chief Marketing Officer, Rachel Conlan, has encouraged Kenyan youth to join the Binance Academy to enhance their understanding of cryptocurrency. The academy offers online tutorials and masterclasses on cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Bitcoin, complemented by in-person training events and a crypto school that awards diplomas upon completion. Kenya: Govt Launches Mobile ID Registration to List 1mn Youth After Scrapping Sh300 Fee
The Kenyan government has launched a mobile ID registration initiative targeting approximately one million youths, following the removal of the Sh300 application fee and the abolition of vetting committees for border communities. Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen announced that the processing time for ID cards will be reduced to a maximum of 10 days, addressing previous delays that lasted up to a year. Additionally, the government plans to implement a fully digital ID registration system, introduce a post-issuance ID tracking system, and develop a National Digital Identity Management System featuring virtual IDs and digital wallets.
