Cyber threats in Kenya surge by 27.2pc to 840.9mn in Q2

Cyber threats in Kenya surged by 27.2% to 840.9 million incidents in the second quarter of the 2024/2025 financial year. The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) reported a rise in malware incidents, mobile application attacks, and system vulnerabilities, while brute force attacks decreased. Kenya's National KE-CIRT/CC issued 11.6 million cybersecurity advisories in response, marking a 20.9% increase compared to the previous quarter.
